Trading Watch is a great new feature that helps you to understand what's going on in your store.
It gives you an overview of the key KPIs in your store or store group, such as sales, margin, waste and basket count.
With Trading Watch, you have:
- A total overview of store performance across all key metrics (sales, margin, waste, basket count)
- The ability to view your key metrics across multiple stores, a single store, a department, or a category, all the way down to a single product. You can zoom out as wide or drill down as far as you wish to get the information you need!
- The ability to change the time period being analysed. Pulse will automatically compare your KPIs against the same time period the previous year, taking into account calendar differences (ie a Monday will always be compared with the equivalent Monday the previous year).
Clicking on any of the KPIs will update the bar chart below with the relevant information.
By clicking 'Losses' on the left hand sidebar, you'll be able to see metrics on Waste, Overrides, Voids and Refunds.
Time range
As mentioned above, you can customise the time range being analysed, and the comparison period will update automatically.
Drill down
In Department Breakdown, you'll see a breakdown of your key metrics by department. You can drill down to get a more detailed insight into each department by clicking on the relevant table row.
The Trading Watch dashboard will have the same layout, but the KPIs will update to be relevant to the selected department.
From here, you can drill down into the Categories within the Department, or even further down to product level.
Product page
The product page has all the relevant KPIs and information for a single product, but will also display the ESL image if the product is linked to a label.
The page also includes price history of product and a competitor price where available (for more information on our Cheaper than Tesco feature, click here).
By default the graph shows the week on week trend of the product, but you can click on any of the bars to drill down into a specific week.
From there you'll be able to review daily trends.
You can also click on a specific day to see transactions for that day.
